# KeenIELTS

> KeenIELTS is a free IELTS preparation platform offering practice tests across all four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking), AI-powered band scoring, and a library of real student model answers with detailed examiner feedback scored by AI.

KeenIELTS helps IELTS candidates practice with authentic test materials and improve their scores through AI feedback. All model answers are real student submissions that have been evaluated by AI against the official IELTS marking criteria: Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy. Each is assigned a band score from 1 to 9.

## How AI Scoring Works

KeenIELTS uses AI to evaluate IELTS Writing submissions against the four official IELTS marking criteria:
1. **Task Achievement / Task Response**: Does the answer fully address all parts of the task?
2. **Coherence and Cohesion**: Is the writing logically organised with effective use of cohesive devices?
3. **Lexical Resource**: Is there a wide range of vocabulary used accurately and appropriately?
4. **Grammatical Range and Accuracy**: Is there a wide range of grammatical structures used accurately?

Each criterion is scored on the IELTS 9-band scale and averaged to give an overall band score.
