The chat below illustrates the information about the percentage of population in four Asian countries living in cities from 1970 to 2020, with predictions for 2030 to 2040.
First of all the Indonesia's population who was living in cities was about 14% in 1970 and it starts increasing rapidly and reached 50% in 2020 and by looking the graph we can predict that in 2030 to 2040 th9is percentage will reach 60%.
In Thailand there was some highs and lows in the population of cities. The population in 1970 was about 19% and it decrease in 200 and reach to 18% then it make a high move and reach 30% in 2000. We can predict that it'll reach 42% in 2040.

This population starts from 31% in 1970 and reach to 48% in 1990 and then starts decreasing and touches 38% in 2010. We can say that it'll reach to 50% again in 2040.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers all four countries and the time frame provided. However, the report lacks a clear overview of the main trends, which is a requirement for a high band score. The description of the data is somewhat mechanical, listing figures for each country individually rather than making meaningful comparisons between them. For instance, noting that Malaysia has the highest projected urbanization while others fluctuate would have strengthened the analysis. The information is accurate based on the graph, but the lack of synthesis and a summary paragraph limits the score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'First of all', 'In Thailand', 'Then later', and 'the population of Malaysia' are used to transition between paragraphs, but there is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within the sentences. The progression of ideas is logical, but the mechanical nature of the transitions prevents a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There is frequent repetition of basic verbs like 'reach', 'increase', and 'decrease'. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'high move' instead of 'upward trend' or 'fluctuation'. While the meaning is clear throughout, the range of vocabulary is limited to common terms, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or collocations appropriate for describing statistical data.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the Indonesia's population'), subject-verb agreement ('it decrease'), and tense consistency ('it starts increasing' instead of 'started'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences lacking proper capitalization at the start. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall clarity and flow of the writing.
