Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all four countries and mentions the start and end points, which is a good start. However, the analysis is quite mechanical, listing data points for each country individually rather than synthesizing the information or highlighting key trends and comparisons effectively. The overview is missing; a summary should highlight the overall upward trend across all countries and identify the most significant changes. The conclusion provided is a bit simplistic and focuses only on the final year. To improve, you should group countries with similar trends and focus on the 'main features' rather than describing every single movement in the data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is organized into paragraphs for each country, which helps with readability. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'after that it has' are used repeatedly, making the flow feel mechanical rather than natural. There is a lack of linking words to show contrast or progression (e.g., 'meanwhile', 'in contrast', 'subsequently'). The paragraphing is functional, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks logical progression, as they read more like a list of data points than a cohesive analytical report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. You rely heavily on simple verbs like 'start', 'rise', and 'fall'. There is little attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'fluctuate', 'plateau', 'gradual increase', or 'sharp decline'. Additionally, there are several spelling errors, such as 'axies' (axes), 'stright' (straight), 'than' (then), 'indonaesia' (Indonesia), and 'hihgest' (highest). To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of descriptive vocabulary and ensure accurate spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement and article usage (e.g., 'malaysia is start', 'indonaesia is start', 'the stright line'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences starting with lowercase letters. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar structures limits the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and sentence variety will significantly improve your writing.
