Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to accurately report the data provided in the graph. The descriptions of trends for Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines are factually incorrect based on the visual data. For example, you state Malaysia's urban population will move to 40 percent, whereas the graph shows a clear upward trend. Furthermore, the response lacks a clear overview of the main trends, instead listing individual country data in a disjointed manner. The task requires a summary of main features and comparisons, which are largely absent or inaccurate.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks logical organization and progression. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and repetitive, such as the constant use of 'Now i will tell' or 'if we predict'. Paragraphing is non-existent, and the ideas are presented as a list of sentences rather than a cohesive report. The lack of transition words makes it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between the countries or the progression over time.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very basic and repetitive. You rely heavily on simple phrases like 'people live in city' and 'how much percent'. There is no attempt to use academic vocabulary suitable for a data analysis task (e.g., 'urbanization', 'proportion', 'fluctuate', 'projected'). The word choice is often imprecise, and the lack of variety significantly limits the ability to describe the trends effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('people lives', 'people move'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structure. The writing style is informal and conversational ('Now i will tell', 'iam explain'), which is inappropriate for an Academic Task 1 report. There is no evidence of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent throughout the text.
