The graph below gives information about the percentage of the population in four Asian countries living in cities from 1970 to 2020, with predictions for 2030 and 2040. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The line chart illustrates the percentage of population among four Asian countries living in cities from 1970 to 2020 followed by the pere predictions for 2030 and 2040.
Overall, it is clear that Malaysia will Consists of highest total among all and Thailand remains the lowest, where as Indonesia and Philippines are puedicted to be moderate.
To Begin with, In 1970 Malaysia stood at second position and the percentage of total population rose slightly by 1990 with 45% and later took a dramatic growth and it is predicted to be the largest count of ci among all four countries cities. Moreover, Indonesia remained the least in 1970 but it is responsible for sharp increase till 2040 with 60%.
Further, Philippines was at peak in 1970s with the propotion of 32%, though its fluctuation continued till 2010 however, it is assumed to more than 50% in future. likewise, Thailand will soar upto 45% but will be the city with low comprise from others countries
