Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

You have identified the main trends and provided data points for the four countries. However, the response lacks a clear overview of the overall trends, and the information is sometimes inaccurate or confusingly presented. For example, you state that Malaysia will reach 82% in 2040, which is a key feature, but your description of the other countries is often disjointed. The task requires a more structured approach to comparing the countries rather than listing data for each one individually. Furthermore, some of your data points are unclear or incorrectly transcribed from the graph, which hinders the accuracy of your summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moving ahead' and 'At a glance', but they are often used incorrectly or do not effectively link the ideas. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between countries. The paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is repetitive, relying on a list-like format rather than a cohesive analysis of the data. More variety in linking words and better paragraph transitions are needed to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic verbs like 'increase' and 'reach' without much variation. There are also numerous spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'sarts', 'begining', 'shrply', 'ncrease', and 'populatin'. These errors, combined with the misuse of words like 'calibrated', suggest a limited range of vocabulary. To achieve a higher band score, you should focus on using more precise reporting verbs and nouns to describe trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', or 'a significant rise', and ensure that your spelling is accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'least value will carried by'), missing articles, and incorrect tense usage (e.g., 'it will increase sharply reach'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty or punctuated incorrectly. For instance, the sentence 'In Indonesia figure start from 11% in first year it will moderately ncrease reach at 25% in year 2000' is a run-on sentence with multiple grammatical flaws. You need to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for tense consistency.
