Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response makes an attempt to discuss the graph, but it does so only minimally. It mentions some countries and numbers, such as Malaysia and Thailand in 2040, but the information reported is largely confused, inaccurate, and fails to give a clear overview of the main trends. The attempt to summarize the main features is hindered by disjointed phrasing, meaning that the overall task is only addressed in a very limited and tangential manner.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The information and ideas are not arranged coherently. Although the text is broken into short paragraph blocks, there is no clear logical progression or structure. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, with confusing transitional phrases like 'Where instend in' and 'In , Where in'. The relationship between sentences is frequently unclear, making it very difficult for the reader to follow any overall line of argument or description.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, relying heavily on words directly lifted or poorly copied from the prompt such as 'population', 'living', 'cities', and 'countries'. There are frequent errors in word choice, word form, and spelling, such as 'Toal', 'Percentange', 'noticeble', 'Anlaysis', 'Conties', 'instend', and 'revels'. These lexical inadequacies and frequent spelling mistakes often strain the reader and obscure the intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response features a very limited range of grammatical structures, and errors are frequent throughout. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'graph gives', 'Population ... are giving', and 'Pepole ... can Increace'. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are poorly handled, resulting in fragmented and malformed clauses that frequently distort the intended meaning and cause significant difficulty for the reader.
