Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word length requirement of 150 words, stopping abruptly at just 61 words. Due to this severe under-length and incomplete nature, the response only touches upon the task minimally. It attempts to introduce the chart and provide a couple of isolated data points regarding Malaysia and the Philippines, but it leaves out most of the countries and fails to provide a comprehensive overview or make adequate comparisons as instructed by the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The essay lacks proper overall progression and fails to form a coherent text because it is cut short after only a few fragmented sentences and incomplete headings like 'body1' and 'body2'. While there is some basic attempt to structure the writing with paragraph labels, there are no effective cohesive devices connecting the ideas, and referencing is incomplete, as seen when the sentence cuts off mid-word ('phili').

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is very basic and heavily marred by numerous spelling errors such as 'popilatoin', 'measurwed', 'increasment', 'additoin', and 'popolatoin'. These errors reflect a limited control over word forms and spelling. While the writer attempts some basic topic-specific vocabulary related to the graph, the numerous lexical slips and the incomplete nature of the vocabulary range restrict the score at this level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical structures attempted are very simple and contain noticeable errors. For instance, the opening sentence has a structural error ('illustrates the how popilatoin'), and verbs and prepositions are mishandled or missing. Punctuation and capitalization are also largely ignored throughout the text. The presence of frequent basic errors and fragmented, incomplete sentence structures prevents the grammar from reaching a higher band.
