The graph illustrates the information about the percentage of the population in four Asian countries living in cities from 1970 to 2020, with prediction for 2030 and 2040.

overall, is is clearly seen the percentage of populatiion living in citirs of Malaysia climed sharply whereas, philippines and Thailand increased and decreased smoughtly.

Firstly,in 1970 the propotion of philippines was about 31% which was followed by the Malaysia by 30% however, the Thailand and indonesia were quite down which were about 18% and 14%.

Similarly, all were increasing till the 1990 subsequently, philippines start declined whereas, Thailand start constant. the Malaysia was climed up as a result it lies in 80% as same as, Indonesia also increases smoughtlyand become around 55%in year 2040 whereas, indonesia and philippines were lies around 55% and 45% which shows that after 1990 Indonesia and .Philippines also rises up slowly till the year 2040. All the countries are rising up with the predictions for 2030 and 2040

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the topic and include some relevant comparisons, such as Malaysia starting at about 30% and Thailand and Indonesia being lower in 1970. However, the overview is unclear and does not accurately summarise the main patterns: Malaysia rises to roughly 84%, Indonesia grows strongly to about 64%, while the Philippines fluctuates before recovering and Thailand rises more gradually. The response also misstates the later figures, saying Malaysia reaches 80% and Indonesia about 55% in 2040; the chart shows approximately 83.5% and 64%, respectively. Several trends are described vaguely rather than supported with accurate data. The response is 140 words, below the required 150, which limits the development of the summary.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the report, beginning with an introduction and overview and then moving to figures from 1970 and later years. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the later paragraph combines several countries and time periods in a confusing way. For example, “whereas, indonesia and philippines were lies around 55% and 45%” makes the comparisons unclear, and the repeated use of “whereas” and “similarly” does not always show the relationship between ideas accurately. Paragraphing is limited, and the overview is not clearly separated from the detailed comparisons. Group the countries by their trends and use clear time references to make the sequence easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response uses some relevant task vocabulary, including “percentage,” “population,” “declined,” and “predictions,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “populatiion,” “citirs,” “climed,” and “smoughtly.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, including “quite down” and “lies in 80%.” Repetition of “increases” and “rising up” limits variety. Aim for accurate, conventional language for describing charts, and check spelling carefully; more precise verbs and phrases will help you report trends and comparisons clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “whereas” and a time clause beginning “after 1990.” However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make the relationships between figures hard to understand. Examples include “overall, is is clearly seen,” “the Malaysia was climed up,” and “Indonesia and philippines were lies.” Subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries need attention. Several sentences also run together, particularly the long sentence beginning “Similarly, all were increasing till the 1990,” where punctuation does not clearly separate the ideas. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add accurate clauses to express comparisons.
