Student answer (Band 5.0)

These days, more and more individuals are becoming curious in finding out about the past of the home or apartment they live in.In my opinion the main cause is any unrelevant theory they listens to their grandparents or finding something precious. In this essay we discussed both view and make comparison relevant.

To commence with,in many parts of the world large amount of people lives in a house which their parents built. For example,So people usually spend most of the their with their grandparents. So mostly their grandparents tell them horrors or other tragers stories which built the interesting or crictical thinking in them.Moslty these children are usually aware of them. This is the main cause mostly children curious about the history of their house.

Futhermore, another reason is that those people who usually interested in spying they have habits to research about their home or bulding which they live in.

On the other hand, the people who are curious in finding something unfimiliar such as,the research of house they live so they must contact local authorities and asked him about their house. For example, those individuals who are interested in research they usually contact with older persons or building authorities can asked him every thing which helped them to reached a sudden point when they are satisfy about the past of their house.

In conclusion,to finds the past of their house people usually focused on relatives evidence or contact local authorities for the history to known the history of their house and also contact with older people of their family.I thinks curiousity and crictical thinking is the main reason to learn the history of the house or apartment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions by suggesting reasons for interest and ways to investigate a building’s past. The references to grandparents’ stories, possible valuables, relatives, older residents and local authorities are relevant starting points. However, the reasons are not consistently clear or convincingly explained: the claim that people are interested because they are “spying” is vague, and the discussion of finding something precious is not developed. The research methods are also only briefly described, with no specific example of what records or sources people might consult. Your introduction promises a comparison of “both view,” although the task does not ask for one, and your position is difficult to identify. Develop a few relevant ideas more clearly and keep the response focused on the two questions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “To commence with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” helps show the intended stages of the answer. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because ideas are repeated or linked unclearly. For example, the paragraph about grandparents moves from parents building houses to children hearing stories, but the connection to researching a home’s history is not fully explained. “On the other hand” introduces research methods as though they contrast with the reasons, which is not a clear relationship. Use topic sentences that directly answer each question, then connect each supporting detail to that point with accurate, less mechanical transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary related to the topic, including “local authorities,” “critical thinking,” “history,” and “research,” and these choices show an effort to discuss both causes and methods. However, the range is limited and many word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning hard to understand. Examples include “unrelevant theory,” “tragers stories,” “unfimiliar,” and “to known the history.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “curious in finding out” and “reached a sudden point when they are satisfy.” These errors reduce precision and make the response less fluent. Build a reliable set of topic phrases and check spelling, word forms, and common collocations; for instance, say “interested in discovering” and “satisfied with the findings.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both short statements and attempts at longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “which” and “who.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “people lives,” “they listens,” and “authorities can asked”; sentence patterns are also incomplete or confusing in “the past of the home or apartment they live in.” Articles, plurals and punctuation are frequently inconsistent, and several sentences run together without appropriate spacing or commas. These problems can make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then combine ideas using one clear subordinate clause at a time, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
