Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that mostly individuals were interested to know the history of their house or a building in which they live.
The reason for this point of view is that the people want to know where they live and stayed in place like house, apartment and building because the question of history of place made the curiousity in mind that is the reason they find the clues and evidences related to place where they live. For example, when i was a child i was to curios about my home who live first in our place and before construction of house what place is it. Moreover, my parents clear me out about this place first this place was a part of the forest after some owner of this place convert the place in residential area for earned the money.
On the other hand, the second query is that how people research for this the answer is that first they question for place with parent and also grand parents if they were not satisfied with that the read lot of history through documentries and videos from the youtube and other sources. For example the city where we live i read and also watched the documentary for my city i knew lots of information like first this place was the part of some aggriculture and war was held in the past two conquered this place then bunchies of people was going to live there and gradually made the city and too many developments like hospitals, schools and government institutes build here then made a proper city.
In conclusion, the individuals learn the history through books and documentaries. In addition they watched the related videos because everything is available on the internet to know the things. The main reason is to urge curiousity and knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions: curiosity and a desire to understand a place’s past are given as reasons, while asking parents or grandparents and consulting documentaries and online videos are offered as research methods. The personal example about your home’s former forest setting is relevant, and the city example adds detail about how a settlement developed. However, the reasons are not fully explored: curiosity is stated, but other possible motivations, such as checking a building’s age or preserving family heritage, are not considered. The research methods are also described mainly as a list, with little explanation of how documents or other sources can be checked for reliable information. Develop these points more clearly and support them with precise examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs for the two questions, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between ideas. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined into long, loosely connected sentences. For example, the account of the city’s past moves from agriculture and war to settlement and development without clearly separating the stages. Some linking phrases are also not quite suited to their purpose: “On the other hand” suggests a contrast, although the paragraph introduces the second question. Use shorter units, clearer sequencing, and references that make it obvious what “this place” or “this” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “history,” “clues,” “evidences,” “documentaries,” and “residential area.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as describing land being converted for housing. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For instance, “curiosuity” is misspelled and “curios” is used where “curious” is needed; “clear me out” does not naturally express explaining something, and “bunchies of people” is unclear. “Agriculture” and “conquered” also need more precise use in the city-history example. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for describing historical sources, land use, and settlement, and check spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because” and “when,” and the main message is generally understandable. However, control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences, where verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries need attention. Examples include “individuals were interested to know,” “my parents clear me out,” and “war was held,” which do not use grammatical patterns or verb forms accurately. In the city example, “bunchies of people was going to live there” also has problems with agreement and tense. Some sentences contain several ideas without clear punctuation, making their structure hard to follow. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using controlled subordinate clauses and consistent past-tense forms.
