Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You make a relevant attempt to address both questions: you suggest attachment and pride in a home’s past as reasons, and asking older neighbours or residents as a research method. The Burewala example also begins to illustrate the idea of family history. However, the response is very brief and the ideas are only minimally explained; the second research method is cut off, and the answer does not clearly explain how people could investigate records or other sources. The response contains 150 words, so it is 100 words below the required minimum; 24 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each reason and research method with clear explanation and a complete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response, using “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “first main reason” to signal reasons and research methods. This gives the reader some indication of the intended structure. However, ideas are not arranged coherently overall: the opening is difficult to follow, the discussion shifts from attachment to property value and then to research without clear paragraphing, and the final sentence stops at “they go to.” References such as “his” and “its” also make it unclear whose house or history is meant. Use separate paragraphs for reasons and research, connect each point explicitly, and complete each sentence so the progression is understandable.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words, including “history,” “grandfather,” “care,” and “buying house,” and you attempt to express ideas about emotional attachment and property value. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand. For example, “his house in fifty year old” and “his praseis good” do not clearly express the intended meanings, while “find up know” is not a natural phrase. Build a more precise range for this topic, such as “previous owners,” “property records,” and “market value,” and check spelling and collocations. These improvements would make your meaning clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a conditional idea beginning “When any person…” and a reason introduced by “Therefore.” However, sentence structures are very limited and frequent errors in word order, verb forms, articles, agreement, and punctuation often obscure meaning. For instance, “that what was made house and whom build up” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “people love in your house” does not form the intended sentence accurately. Capitalisation and spacing after punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “when,” and “if.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
