Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address both questions: you suggest that people want personal knowledge and describe asking parents or older relatives. These points are relevant, but the reasons are narrow and the explanation is difficult to follow in places. The example about feeling embarrassed if someone cannot answer a question is presented as the main motivation, without showing how common or important this is. The research section focuses almost entirely on family members, so it does not explain other practical ways to investigate a building’s past. To strengthen the response, develop a wider range of plausible reasons and explain several research methods, such as checking property records, local archives, old maps, or speaking with previous residents.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons and research, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “To begin with,” “Similarly,” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from personal growth to embarrassment without a clear link, and the research paragraph begins with the fragment “By asking the helps of their parents.” Repeated references to “history” and “house” also make the development feel circular. Use complete topic sentences, then arrange each paragraph as a clear point followed by explanation and an example. More precise referencing would also help readers identify whose home or experience is being discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general topic, with relevant terms such as “personal knowledge,” “history,” and “parents.” However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “giving more importance and interest to know,” “get embraced,” and repeated misspellings such as “bulidings” and “theri.” Some expressions, including “complete knowledge about it,” are also imprecise in context. Build a more varied set of topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully. Choosing natural collocations—for example, “research a building’s history” rather than “know the history”—would make your meaning clearer and more fluent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if some people ask anyone…” and explanations introduced by “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and several sentences are incomplete or difficult to interpret. “By asking the helps of their parents” is a fragment, while “if he or she can not answer that they may fell…” has problems with clause structure and verb forms. There are also recurring errors in agreement and sentence construction, as in “their are several reasons” and “they will easily able to answer.” Aim first for accurate complete sentences, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms; then add complex clauses only when their relationships are clear.
