Student answer (Band 5.5)
Now a days people are willing to known the back stories of there homes or there residents where they are living in there countries. Now we will discuss this topic deeply and clarify the doubts that had raisen.
Because the most people want to know that how there ansistors build there houses, what materials they used used, how much they spend on that materials, what is the total expenditure of the home or building, how old is that building and how much time they taken to complete these all doubts and questions that they may have and they want the answers and explanation to it. Because old houses are very strong, beautiful, and astentic.
So that the people started the research about the homes asking to there parents, grand parents about the homes and there history. Most of will do research in libraries, internet, newspapers or old books that may had written by family members. Can go to the orchiology department office to collect the information. Because all old and ancient buildings information will be available in that office because thay collects the information by doing reaseach on materials like stones, sand, woods etc.
Example: Orchiology departments conduts the carbon dating to know that exact age of things or objects, So people can easily collects the data from them.
At the end, people intrested in anciets buildings because of there unbelievable architecture, designs, carvings, scrupturals etc.So many ancient buildings are so strong that they are in still running without any repair. They also with standed in heavy rains, winds, toffans, tsunamies and earthquakes.
Even in now a days most the engineers, architechtures and scientists are wondering how they build such large and big buildings without technology.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both questions: it gives reasons for interest in a building’s past, such as curiosity about its age, construction and materials, and suggests research through relatives, libraries, online sources and archaeology departments. These are relevant ideas, and the carbon-dating example adds some specific support. However, the reasons are not always clearly distinguished: the discussion shifts from personal interest in one’s home to admiration for ancient architecture generally. Several points, including why people want to know the building’s history, are listed rather than explained, and the research methods could be developed with clearer examples of what records or sources people might consult. A more focused explanation of each part would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is an overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on research methods and a concluding paragraph. The reader can generally follow the main topics. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to track because many questions and details are joined into long sequences, as in the list beginning “how there ansistors build there houses.” Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not show a clear relationship: several sentences begin with “Because,” while “So that” does not connect smoothly to the preceding point. The conclusion also introduces further claims about storms and engineers rather than clearly summarising the answer. Use topic sentences and organise each paragraph around one main point, with more precise links between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response attempts vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “carbon dating,” “architecture,” “materials” and “carvings,” and these choices show an effort to discuss buildings specifically. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “building,” “information” and “research,” while several inaccurate or misspelled forms make meaning harder to follow, including “astentic,” “orchiology” and “scrupturals.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “collects the data” and “in still running.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for sources and historical features would help express the ideas clearly without relying on repeated wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, particularly when several ideas are combined. Examples include “people are willing to known” and “how much time they taken,” where verb forms are not correctly constructed. Agreement and sentence structure are also problematic in “Most of will do research” and “they also with standed,” and the opening contains unclear pronoun references. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the intended meaning. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then connect related ideas using subordinate clauses rather than long strings of questions. Check tense, agreement, articles and punctuation during revision.
