Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses both questions: it gives possible reasons for researching a home’s past, including legal protection and cultural connection, and names ways to investigate, such as websites, documentaries, record offices and societies. These points are relevant, but they are not developed evenly. The legal explanation is difficult to follow in places, particularly the example about avoiding “property crimes,” and the cultural point ends with the unclear claim “Which is beneficial for traditionalism.” The research section is brief and mostly lists sources without explaining how someone might use them or what records to seek. Develop each reason with a clear, specific example and explain the research methods more fully to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on research methods and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through the response, and transitions such as “Moreover” and “To sum up” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The legal example moves from buying or renting to documentation and then fraud without clearly showing the connection, while “Which is beneficial for traditionalism” is an incomplete, disconnected follow-up. The conclusion repeats the main points but ends as a fragment. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and make sure each paragraph and concluding sentence forms a complete, logically connected unit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The response uses relevant topic vocabulary, including “cultural heritage,” “legal documentation,” “record offices” and “historical facts,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific language, but several word choices, collocations and spelling forms are inaccurate or awkward: “architectural heritage” is not quite the same as the history of a particular home, “property crimes” does not clearly express the intended risk, and “traditionalism” is unnatural in this context. Errors such as “advantageious,” “socities” and “residentce” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases such as “property records,” “historical archives” and “cultural traditions,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

There is some variety in sentence forms, including reason clauses and conditional structures, as in “If a person knows historical facts…” and “as most people live in rental houses or buy property from others.” However, attempts at longer sentences are often faulty, and errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “people … increasingly keen” (missing a verb), “a person who buy property,” and “by geting awareness … can deepen.” The sentence beginning “Which is beneficial…” is also a fragment, and the final sentence lacks a complete verb structure. Work on complete sentence construction, subject–verb agreement, verb forms after prepositions, and punctuation when joining clauses. More accurate control of these patterns would make the ideas easier to understand.
