IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in.
What are the reasons for this?
How can people research this?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
In recent years, there has been an upward trend in the number of people being curious regarding surrounding environment they are living in such as house or an apartment. In this essay I will discuss the reason behind this trend and assist in the way that how can people research about history of surroundings.
To begin with, the most primary reason for people showing interest in history of house or building is because of greed of treasure. The human being will never be satisfied with money regardless of their financial background. A considerable number of individuals are expecting the the big and ancient treasure underneath the surface of their onw land. Furthermore, the mindset and mentality has changed significantly over the past few decades due to influence of advance technology such as smartphone, computer and laptop. It has affected the human being and lead them to obtain more and more knowledge likely a curse of knowing everything.
Nowadays, with the smart and intelligent technologies everyone can access any type of information from the internet. With the help of different types of Artificial intelligence the one can obtain knowledge of history by using an effective prompt and will be able to know the history of specific place. Another way is by connecting with the elderly individuals who are more interested and has done many research in their entire life on history hence they are having true and vast knowledge that can be shared via campaigns and group dicussions.
In conclusion, by getting connect with elderly people and also with the power of current technology this trend may help to enhance the overall knowlegde of locals about the history.
