Student answer (Band 6.0)

In recent years, many people were lived in their owned house but some are lived in rented house. In different countries, many people were becoming more interested to discover the past history their living houses and also rebuild the house in their own mindset. I firmly believe that, there are so many reasons behind that was some people were not comfortable in house and they wanted some new development.

On the other hand, I will considered many people find out a lot of past history regarding their house just knew about the structure and their house finishing. Similarly, they discovered the past year history and data also acknowledge about the current situation of the house. Major reason was old aged men were more interested in knowing about he house structure and their past data. For instance, many popular places such as garden and courtyard was the major places where mostly people spend their spare time.

On the other hand, from my perspective many people can find out these house details from their mason also on internet. Moreover, some old houses had no data so these kind of houses were established in past years, in this way people could not find any information. I also fond of houses and explore the every corner of the house. For instance, European countries had different kind of house categories and they lived there past past time.

Although, collecting the exact information isn't the major issue but unnecessary data make us frustrated and people got fed up in some moment.

Tu sum up, knowing about he past data will also enhanced our skills and people can understand the basic structure of their lived house.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for interest in house history and methods for research. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times unclear. For example, the explanation regarding 'old aged men' and their interest in structure is not fully supported or logically connected to the broader topic. The ideas are often repetitive, such as the mention of 'structure' and 'past data' appearing multiple times without adding new depth. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-explained point with specific examples that directly answer the 'why' and 'how' components of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. While cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'Moreover' are used, they are often placed incorrectly or used to introduce points that do not contrast with the previous sentence. For instance, the transition 'On the other hand' is used twice to start paragraphs that do not provide a clear counter-argument. Referencing is sometimes confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the writer's train of thought throughout the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'house', 'data', and 'history'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'rebuild the house in their own mindset' and 'old aged men'. The phrase 'I also fond of houses' contains a grammatical error that also impacts lexical accuracy. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'architectural heritage', 'genealogical records', or 'historical archives', and ensure that words are used in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb tenses, such as 'many people were lived' instead of 'many people live' and 'I will considered' instead of 'I consider'. Subject-verb agreement is also problematic, for example, 'garden and courtyard was the major places'. Sentence structures are generally simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors that obscure the intended meaning. A greater focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for tense consistency would significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
