Student answer (Band 5.5)
People are increasingly taking interest in the history of their house or building they are living in across many countries. Through out this essay, we will talk about the reason and how the people can conduct such type of research on their own their own.
With the passage of time, we have seen that many individuals have shared their vlogs on social media about the history of their living area. This encourage young people to share their housing area's historical background. It's not only providing them a chance to spread knowledge, but also give them a sense of recognition among the specific group of people. For instance, suppose if a person share a video and that video go viral, that person will get famous and more opportunities will come to him.
People can find their houses history by mean of many methods, but in my opinion reading blogs and talking with elder ones are the best ways to know about the historical significance of a place or a house. These resources not only give us the information, but it also gives us the direction for research. For example, there are many blogs on google, mostly named as historical houses, have covered the historical perspective of many places. Moreover, they have recommendation system to recommend related articles to that building or house.
In conclusion, its an increasing trend that people are becoming interested in finding out about the past of their houses or places where they live. Most of the people around the world usually do due to social media trends. People can find out information by doing discussion with their elders and also by visiting many websites related to places history.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the interest and methods for research. However, the development is somewhat superficial. The explanation regarding social media trends is repetitive and lacks depth, focusing more on the desire for fame rather than a genuine interest in history. The second body paragraph provides basic methods like reading blogs and talking to elders, but these ideas are not fully extended with concrete examples or detailed analysis. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced reasons, such as the desire for cultural preservation or architectural appreciation, and explain the research methods with more specific detail.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, 'Through out this essay, we will talk about...' is an unnecessary meta-commentary that does not contribute to the flow of ideas. Some transitions, such as 'Moreover, they have recommendation system', are slightly awkward. While the progression of ideas is generally logical, the connections between sentences could be smoother and more varied to improve the overall flow of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'finding out about', 'talk about', and 'get famous'. There are also some minor collocation errors, such as 'doing discussion' instead of 'having discussions' or 'engaging in discussions'. While the meaning is always clear, the lexical range is limited, and there is little evidence of less common or idiomatic vocabulary that would demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('this encourage', 'that person... get famous'), missing articles ('by mean of', 'on google'), and awkward phrasing ('the history of their house or building they are living in'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your points, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
