Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is mostly common in some states that building they are living has something untold and people are really keen to figure this out what was that. There might be two possible reasons for this, firstly there some building which is associated with some history. For instance, living in a royal palace this place is acossiated with the history of some royals family thus, people are eventually become curious to explore.
Secondly, there are some past inidents might have happened in a particular buildings, for instance if a person is living in a house which has been abandoned for many years in this particular cases people might become suspecious of the house history or paranormal sites. For expample, In people generally affraid of buying houses which is build above the graveyard, becuase of the suspect of some unusual may happen otherwise. People can search data related to any building from internet, newspaper, websites, neighbours and liberary.
I believe on some scientific point of view that every house buildings may exhibits some some sort of energies. For instance, it is proven by researchers that having less things in house bring more comfort, and the structure map or archeaology of the building matters a lot in many life of people. For example, if a house of Quide-azam which is in ziyarat people started living there now, so they are really eager to learn a propects of thier lifestyles and etc.
In a nutshell, many indiviuals today become curious of what has happened in the houses they are living in expecially in case of some previous history or event becuase they think it may have influence on thier lives as well. They can acess may data from internet, newspaper and other web sources.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for interest in building history and methods for research. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. The reasons provided—historical association and paranormal curiosity—are relevant but lack depth. The third paragraph introduces a somewhat tangential point about 'energies' and 'comfort' which does not directly answer the prompt's focus on historical research. While the response covers the requirements, the explanation of research methods is limited to a simple list in the second and fourth paragraphs. To reach a higher band, you should expand on how these research methods are used and why people feel a personal connection to their homes.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and occasionally repetitive (e.g., 'For instance' is used four times). Some sentences are poorly linked, such as the transition between the discussion of paranormal activity and the list of research sources. Furthermore, the final paragraph introduces a new idea about the influence of history on lives rather than effectively summarising the main points. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several spelling errors, such as 'acossiated', 'inidents', 'suspecious', 'expample', 'affraid', 'liberary', 'Quide-azam', and 'acess'. These errors are frequent and occasionally distract the reader. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms like 'things', 'house', and 'building'. To improve, you should focus on learning more precise collocations and academic vocabulary related to history, architecture, and research, while also paying closer attention to spelling accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'building they are living has'), missing articles (e.g., 'in some states'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'people are eventually become curious'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the text from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence structure and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy is essential.
