Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the modern world, some individual have excitement to searching for the past knowledge about the property or their house. This has become common and has attracted significant public attention. It has become a topic of widespread debate due to its impact on individuals and society. This essay will find the reasons and present my ideas on finding history of building.
Firstly, one of the major reason is that knowledge about the building can be beneficial for long term. This is because if there is any criminal record of the house or any smuggling happen in past or there is any other source of activities were performed. To elaborate, history of building can give you the idea about any loan pending or in which year the building was build. For example, if you are buying for a flat and you don't know about the history so it can be disaster for individuals in long-term. Thus, knowledge about property can be beneficial for individuals and society.
Furthermore, another reason is that data of history can be confirmed by government websites or any municipality office in any country or the land authority can give you the exact details of land and you will be sure that this property does not have any allegation. In other words, if the locality was not good so you can check by the history of the house. For instance, if you are visiting for old palace or kingdom so having a knowledge about the castle can be beneficial when individual visited and it experience well in time.
In my opinion, knowledge about property and home can be beneficial for long term and it would be perfect to don't have any disturbance in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for researching building history and methods for doing so. However, the development of ideas is limited. The reasons provided—such as checking for criminal records or loan status—are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The explanation of research methods is also vague, focusing primarily on government websites without exploring other avenues like archives or historical societies. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments are not fully extended, leading to a somewhat superficial treatment of the topic. To improve, you should provide more detailed examples and explore the cultural or personal significance of building history beyond just legal or financial concerns.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. While cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'In other words' are used, they are sometimes applied mechanically or incorrectly, such as when 'In other words' introduces a new, unrelated point about locality rather than rephrasing the previous one. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of ideas. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear topic sentence followed by supporting evidence, resulting in a somewhat disjointed reading experience.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'knowledge', 'beneficial', and 'history'. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'excitement to searching', 'smuggling happen', and 'it experience well in time'. These errors occasionally make the meaning unclear. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations related to property, history, and research methods. Focus on learning word families and how to use them in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'if you are buying for a flat and you don't know about the history so it can be disaster'. Subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'some individual have') and article usage issues are frequent. Punctuation is also inconsistent. The grammatical errors are persistent and occasionally impede the flow of communication. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly the correct use of conditional clauses and verb tenses, before attempting more complex structures.
