Student answer (Band 5.5)
In different countries around the world individuals are increasingly interested in studying the history of a particular house and apartments they will be going to spend there live's in. From my perspective it has become necessary in current time's to dive into the history of the residence before investing your money.
As per other humanly activities natural instincts come into play beforehand and people don't thoroughly trust the real estate agencies and builder's with their hard earned money. Additionally buying pre-built homes and apartments without looking into the actual history of the place might be unsettling for most of the people . The very first instinct is that either this place was indulged in any sort of criminal activities or maybe some paranormal activities had happened here! Moreover, some people might think that what type of material's were used during the construction of their homes and apartments.
The only possible solution to many such problem's is to search about the place on different social media platforms and join the relevant community groups either in person or on Facebook and other platforms . One, can post about their concerns related to their place on social platforms or visit the community center's nearby and discuss it with the other people who have been long spending their lives in certain neighborhood.
For instance, In United States community center's are built for different people of different religious group's. So, that every new family or person moving into a certain neighborhood or planing to move into a certain neighborhood can visit the center and acquire about the place history including every pro's and con's.
In conclusion people are becoming more interested about the history of place they are spending their live's in with the passage of time and I think more community center's should be build in every neighborhood So, that people feel ease in studying about their place.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the interest in building history and methods for research. The ideas are relevant, such as concerns about construction quality or past events. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, the suggestion to use 'social media' is a bit narrow, and the example regarding community centers in the United States is slightly underdeveloped and lacks specific detail. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' with more depth and provide more nuanced examples. The position is clear throughout, but the overall argument could be more sophisticated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'As per other humanly activities'. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs more variety and precision to move beyond a Band 6 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. However, there is a lack of precision and some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'humanly activities' instead of 'human activities' and 'acquire about' instead of 'inquire about'. There are also frequent issues with unnecessary apostrophes (e.g., 'time's', 'problem's', 'group's'), which suggests a lack of control over basic punctuation and word formation. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and ensuring correct word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with pluralization and possessives (e.g., 'live's' instead of 'lives', 'material's' instead of 'materials'). There are also issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be distracting. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate better control over basic grammar, especially regarding noun plurals and punctuation, and aim for more error-free complex sentences.
