Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many countries, a significant proportion of individuals in different societies have interest to accumulate statistical data regarding a building or houses in which they are currently living.
There are multiple reasons behind this perspective, I shall explain it in a systematically way and also tell about the sources of data with a logical conclusion.
To start with, nowadays curiosity about the historical backgrounds has been increasing among the general populace to a large extent. Consequently, these individuals find out the new sources in which they are able to get the data regarding history. Some of them are like to start this analysis from their own houses. For this purpose, they acquire the data from the persons who have expertise in the history knowledge like their ancestors.
Another substantial reason is the epidemiology in which different people are conducting survey about houses. They are doing these tasks for estimation purposes and later they put this data into statistical analysis and publishing their reports into articles.
These individuals find out data from the different articles which are published in different databases. Furthermore, they are conducting surveys by providing questionnaires to the individuals of their society physically or by using online sources.
A prime instance is my cousin who is currently working on the proportion of houses in a specific society. For this, he is conducting survey physically by visiting each house and collecting data for his research.
To put it briefly, though people from the the general populace taking interest about the history of their houses or buildings but they have different reasons to perform these tasks.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention reasons such as curiosity and epidemiological research, the link between 'epidemiology' and researching the history of one's house is unclear and seems misapplied. The explanation of research methods is also somewhat vague, relying on general statements rather than specific, logical examples. The example of your cousin is relevant to conducting surveys but does not clearly connect to the 'history of a building' as requested by the prompt. To improve, ensure your arguments are directly relevant to the specific topic and provide more detailed, logical explanations for each point raised.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'I shall explain it in a systematically way' and 'To put it briefly'. The progression of ideas is occasionally disjointed, particularly in the transition between the reasons for research and the methods used. While the logical flow is generally maintained, the connection between sentences could be smoother. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations. For example, 'accumulate statistical data regarding a building' is not the most natural way to describe researching history, and 'history knowledge' is grammatically incorrect. You attempt to use some academic vocabulary, such as 'epidemiology' and 'populace', but these are not always used in the correct context. To reach a higher band, focus on using words that accurately reflect the intended meaning and pay closer attention to common collocations in English.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder clarity. Examples include 'have interest to accumulate', 'in a systematically way', and 'people from the the general populace taking interest'. There are also issues with article usage and verb forms. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions will help improve your accuracy significantly.
