In some countries People are becoming interested in finding out about history of their house or building

In my opinion movies, stories plays a role in making people curious to know about house they live in, for example story named "Alice in wonderland" in this story there was a secret door in her house she went to that door and entered into beutiful place where she met her friends, So In this way movies, stories make people interested in finding out about history of their house or building

People can research about their house history from their parents and grand parents and also people living near by . People can also find map of their society and find where their house is located and can find before their house what was built on their house place for example in movie "horror 2" child came to knew about his house history by his grandfather and he finds out that graveyard was in place of his house 200 years ago . In this way history can be find out.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons (media influence) and research methods (asking elders, checking maps). However, the development is limited. The reliance on fictional examples like 'The Conjuring' and 'Alice in Wonderland' is inappropriate for an Academic Task 2 essay, which requires real-world examples or logical arguments. The ideas are repetitive, and the explanation of how to research is quite superficial. To improve, you should focus on more realistic reasons, such as the growing interest in genealogy or architectural preservation, and provide more practical research methods, such as visiting local archives or public libraries.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and repetitive, with 'In this way' being used multiple times to conclude paragraphs. There is a lack of sophisticated linking words to connect ideas within sentences. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. To improve, try using a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to create a smoother flow between your points.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive. You frequently use the same words, such as 'house', 'building', 'history', and 'stories', throughout the text. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'getting knowledge of house' instead of 'researching the history of a property'. The spelling of 'interrest', 'beutiful', and 'burried' indicates a need for more careful proofreading. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'architectural heritage', 'genealogical research', or 'historical records', and ensure your spelling is accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('in movie', 'in place of his house'), incorrect verb forms ('can be find out'), and punctuation issues. Subject-verb agreement is also inconsistent. The frequent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction make the text difficult to follow at times. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and ensure you are using articles and prepositions correctly. Practising complex sentence structures like relative clauses would also help improve your score.
