Nowadays, it has been an escalating trend that people of many nations intend to discover about the historical data of their accommodations. Individuals from various countries are turning their attentions to find ancient records of their houses. This are many possible reasons for this sudden surge in finding pieces of information of buildings, for instance, there are security concerns, additionally, it may be just a hobby for some people.
Since there are various reasons related to this, however, some residents argue that they are doing researches because of the fact that they want to check building’s strength, as an old building may appear to me sturdy from outside but many become an old scrap from inside by the passage of time. They look for the construction dates, renovation permits and also try to find for some traces of war in their locality. Hence, by finding information related to the building they may protect themselves from any tragedy as many of the old building may cause large-scale destruction when hit by a tornado or an earthquake. Moreover, a group agrees that old residential places are part of their history and are prestigious for them. Moreover, those places are essential component of the heritage of their nation. Consequently, by knowing about the building they are preserving their history by restoration and renovation of that living places. Additionally, few people agree that they do this as it is their hobby or some do this so, to increase their knowledge.
There are various resources where people often search related to their buildings, including government archives, official residential plotting data, old maps of their neighborhood and they may find something on internet. They can also visit local libraries searching for decade old newspapers and booklets. They can also ask people about their stories that may help them find something that suits their research.
To conclude my point, a lot of people from various nationalities do research on the history of their houses because of their security issues and some believe that it is just a hobby for their spare time. This leads ultimately to the conclusion that people are becoming more aware about their security and safety.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and methods of research. The ideas are relevant, such as safety concerns and historical preservation, and the research methods are clearly listed. However, the development of these points is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the discussion on safety is revisited in the conclusion without adding new depth. To reach a higher band, you should ensure that each paragraph provides distinct, well-supported arguments rather than restating the same points. Overall, the response is clear and fulfills the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use a variety of cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover', 'Consequently', and 'In addition'. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, particularly the overuse of 'Moreover' and 'Additionally' at the start of sentences. The progression of ideas is generally smooth, but the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be more fluid. The concluding paragraph is a bit redundant, as it simply summarizes points already made without providing a final synthesis or insight.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'escalating trend', 'prestigious', and 'restoration'. There are some instances of slightly unnatural collocations, such as 'finding pieces of information of buildings' or 'official residential plotting data', which could be phrased more naturally. While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, there are occasional inaccuracies in word choice. To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—rather than just individual synonyms. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'This are many possible reasons' (subject-verb agreement), 'find for some traces' (incorrect preposition), and 'that living places' (pluralization error). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that slightly impede the flow. To achieve a higher band, you need to focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Increasing the accuracy of your complex structures will also help demonstrate better control over your grammar.
