Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this global world in fewer countries most part of the communities are showing interest in searching out about the history of the places they live currently. Here I will discuss about the reason and way of searching such as following....

In my perspective, citizens are more interesting to knowing about the history of their living places one of the main cause is that state change the polices related to property documentation that's why public become more conscious relevant to their properties either they are owner of their places or not. For instance, recently in my hometown there are seeing one major case related to "azan heights" his owner face huge trouble when know that this place is public property not his own property. Hence, due to the facing of difficulties in future related to places therefore, people start to finding it in present movement.

On the other hand, individuals research it through different ways one is the most important contribution of the technology and digital apps because government change their whole method of documentation they transfer whole system on computer base which create more convenient and rapid way of getting information for society members about their concerns. So digital apps play a significant role to get knowledge related to houses and buildings.

From my observation, one is another reason young generation also take more interest to knowing about the history culture and traditions therefore they try to search and get knowledge about houses and building. Thus, generation also play a crucial role in society and history.

In conclusion, from my point of in this modern era owning to the development of the technology people become more interested in searching out about houses and buildings.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the interest in building history and methods for researching it. However, the development of these ideas is inconsistent. The explanation regarding property documentation is somewhat unclear, and the example of 'azan heights' lacks sufficient detail to fully support the argument. The third paragraph introduces a new reason—the interest of the younger generation—but it is underdeveloped and lacks a clear connection to the research methods requested. While the task is addressed, the ideas are often presented in a fragmented manner, limiting the depth of the response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is weak. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In conclusion' and 'On the other hand', but they are often applied mechanically or incorrectly, such as 'In my perspective' followed by a run-on sentence. Referencing is sometimes confusing, particularly in the second paragraph where the link between digital apps and property documentation is not clearly articulated. The flow of the argument is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the overall structure feel disjointed rather than cohesive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There is a reliance on basic phrasing, such as 'searching out about' and 'get knowledge'. Some word choices are imprecise or non-standard, such as 'present movement' instead of 'present day' or 'computer base' instead of 'digitised systems'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, there is little evidence of the less common or idiomatic vocabulary required for higher bands. The student struggles with collocations, leading to awkward phrasing that occasionally hinders the natural flow of the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are significant issues with sentence structure, including run-on sentences and fragments, such as 'For instance, recently in my hometown there are seeing one major case...'. Subject-verb agreement is inconsistent, and there are errors with articles and prepositions throughout. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple or poorly connected complex sentences. While the reader can understand the intended meaning, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
