Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for interest in building history and methods of research. However, the development is limited. The reasons provided—'spiritual things' and 'construction materials'—are somewhat superficial and lack depth. The research methods mentioned, such as asking the previous owner or using the internet, are relevant but could be expanded with more specific examples or a more formal tone. The conclusion is generic and does not effectively summarize the main points or provide a final thought on the topic, which limits the overall impact of the response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'Moreover' and 'Furthermore'. Some transitions are awkward, for instance, 'Moving forward, every people have one doubt that...' which does not flow naturally from the previous paragraph. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical progression between ideas is sometimes interrupted by simplistic phrasing. Better use of linking words and improved paragraph transitions would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'curios' instead of 'curious', 'trap' instead of 'trapped', and 'every people' instead of 'everyone'. The range of vocabulary is limited to common, everyday language, and there is little attempt to use less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions. To improve, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to architecture, history, and research processes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'after living for few month' (missing plural/article), 'their is some possibilities' (subject-verb agreement), and 'every person have their opinion' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction often feels repetitive. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
