In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in.

What are the reasons for this?

Student answer (Band 5.5)

In some societies, more and more people are becoming curious to know about the history of the building or house where they live in. There are many reasons why people are interested and from which resources they can know about the history.

Firstly, many people know about the history because they want to connect themselves with the heritage and culture. Since researching about building and homes give sense of belonging and knowledge. Furthermore, we can see many home and old building have beautiful and stylish architecture design which motivates people to know about the history.

Secondly, history and background may increase the worth of that building. For instance, if a person wants to sale their house and if he has previous record like there was flood which could destroy that building or others disaster then he can sale in good price. Additionally, some people take this thing a hobby they want to know the history because they get knowledge and note down in their diary.

Thirdly, we can know about the history from different resources such as social media, house owners, library and neighbors. In addition, the architecture of the building give us true and authentic knowledge we can see many building has stamps and traditional designs on their walls and roof which tell us about the history.

Despite this, we can visit library talk to house owner and ask to neighbors.

Finally, in these days people are more interested to know about the history of homes and building because this thing give them sense of belonging and connect them with the heritage. Moreover, they can know about the background from different digital resources as well as from traditional resources.
