IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in.
What are the reasons for this?
How can people research this?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In some countries people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in. Majority of the people around the world are now curious about the places they are using for living. By doing so they feel more connected and familiar to that particular palce and understand the worth of the historical buildings.
Although there is a great number of the new buildings standing around the world but the historical ones have thier own charm. The people are interested in knowing the background of the one belongs to them. It might be due to the curiosity of human mind, that how someone who originally came up with the idea would have thought it to be like the monument it is right now and how they felt. The other reason could be the understanding of the material and infrastructure used to in comparison to the nowadays where everything is so readily available.
Many people currently are familiar with use of internet. And its hard to belief that any information is not available on internet isn't it ? The availability of every piece of information about history or any aspect of a certain object is available on the internet and is a great source for folks to get familair with the place they are inhabiting.
Overall I conclude this as a good thing to be familiar about the historical values especially in times when it is very convenient and one click away.
