IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in.
What are the reasons for this?
How can people research this?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, people are searching about their houses history, and this become increasingly more common in some countries. This is mainly because of knowing if the fondantion of their houses are solid, and also if there is no crime happend in the place before. Reaching these kind of answers demande to find the last proprietor who lived their and ask the government to give them the house archives.
They are several reasons why peole want to know about the history of the house they live in, the first reason is knowing if the house or building they live in is safe and the fondation are made correct and not fragil, this may offer a safe and calm life for the owner. The second reason , is that if there is no crimes happend in that house or building before, cause that may expose the owner to a lot of problems and also could finish him in the prison, by knowing the history of the house the owner will be sure that his family and him are living in a safe place.
However, finding this kind of information could be a bit hard. The first way that can make them able to find the history of the house or building they live in, is by asking their neighbors about the last owner of the house or building and trying to get his or her number, then ask about what they are searching about. The second way is by asking government about the past of the house or building, and this is the best way to know the history of them, cause the government has all the houses and buildings information.
In conclusion, it realy important to know the history of the house or building where people live in, because a week fondation or a bad past of the place mean that palce ot not safe for living in. Neighbors and governments are the alone sources that people can rely on to know the history of their houses or buildings they live in.
