In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in.

What are the reasons for this?

Student answer (Band 6.0)

In many countries, people are getting more curious about getting to know the history of the places they live in. With the advancement of technology, people have now more time to discover their history and culture. They can research about this through social media which is becoming quite popular nowadays.

With the rise of technology, people have more time for hobbies. This phenomenon is observed mostly among the inhabitants of historical countries. Residence of some countries are now interested in history, specifically of the places they live in. This give people the sense of belonging. For instance; when people discover that they live in a historical building, they connect themselves with the people that used to live there before. Also if that place is historically significant you can sell that in higher rates than usual. Finding about history is good for them financially as well as emotionally.

Social media is a global hub for knowledge. If a person wants to find about something existing, they can use certain websites and find relavent resources. Another way of doing research, is through contacting agents online who will help you finding the history of the house or the building. You can also take help from the architectural style of the building as various architectural styles were made by specific empires.

In conclusion, with more time available, people are now finding out history of places they live in, which gives them sense of belonging. They can research about them by using various tools online.
