In many countries, mostly people are fascinated in discovering the history of the house or building they live in.

There are a lot of reasons behind this for discovering the history of the house or building. One reason is that the house where they will live in the future have any previous criminal family record or not. Other one is that to check the location where the house is located is preferable for him or not. Means they provide enough facilities or not such as, schools, colleges, hospitals and parks etc. Other one is that the infrastructure of the house is well prepared or not because a people live their entire life there. This is the reason that they want to know about the history of the house or a building.

People have their own ways to research about the things they want. For researching about the house, people mostly asking questions about the house from the people lives nearby. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for researching building history and methods for doing so. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the reasons provided focus largely on potential criminal records, local facilities, and physical infrastructure, but these points are expressed simply and lack full extension. In discussing methods, the student mentions asking neighbours and searching the internet, but these ideas remain basic. Furthermore, there is a slight confusion regarding the core premise, as the writing often reads as though the person is buying a new home rather than researching a building they already live in. Despite these shortcomings, all parts of the task are touched upon, leading to a modest band score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall organization and logical progression are weak. The introduction outlines general ideas, and body paragraphs attempt to tackle reasons and methods separately, but transitions between sentences are often awkward or mechanical, using phrases like 'Other one is that' repeatedly. Cohesive devices are used inadequately and sometimes incorrectly, which disrupts the flow of the text. Paragraphing is present, but internal paragraph cohesion fails to build a clear and progressive argument. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as pronoun shifts between singular and plural forms. Overall, the structural arrangement demonstrates features of a lower-intermediate level of cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on simple words like 'house', 'building', and 'history'. There are noticeable limitations in lexical range and collocation, evidenced by phrases such as 'proper investigate' instead of 'properly investigate' and 'doing so' versus 'discovering the history'. While the student attempts some less common words, such as 'infrastructure' and 'fascinated', inaccuracies in word choice and form are frequent. Spelling is generally acceptable, but the limited control over word building and restricted vocabulary size constrain the overall effectiveness of the response.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Grammatical range is severely limited, relying predominantly on simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex structures. There are numerous grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people lives', 'Some people researches', 'a people live'), missing articles, and awkward prepositional usage ('invest on this'). Punctuation is basic, and sentence boundaries are sometimes blurred. The frequency of these grammatical errors causes noticeable difficulty for the reader and prevents the response from achieving a higher band, as error-free sentences are infrequent.
