In some regions, a numerous number of people are tend to find out about the old stories of their house and building they are living. There are so many reasons behind this. Such as, they wants to know who lived their houses in the past and how the building was looked alike back then.

One of the major reason is, how the building was constructed and which structures they followed. So many people have curiosity about the history of their building. For example, if the house was made of bricks, if the design followed the ancient structure or if the house was demolished and renew it after stepping into new generation. Another reason is, who lived there in the past. Because they do not know whether the building was owned by their grandparents or they just rented the building for their living.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by identifying reasons why people research their building's history and suggesting methods to do so. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the reasons given, such as knowing 'who lived their houses' and 'how it was built', are reiterated without deep extension. The discussion on research methods includes the internet and elderly residents, but the inclusion of 'where the King used to live' feels slightly irrelevant to typical residential buildings. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, but the ideas require greater depth and clearer supporting examples to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays a logical overall structure with four distinct paragraphs representing an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesion at the sentence level is frequently faulty and mechanical. Expressions like 'One of the major reason is' and 'In concusion' contain spelling and grammatical errors that disrupt the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as pronoun use in 'who lived their houses'. Paragraphing is present, but internal transitions between sentences could be managed more smoothly. The progression of ideas is discernible, but the overall mechanical nature of cohesive devices places this response securely at band 6.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited and basic, with frequent vocabulary and word choice errors. Phrases such as 'a numerous number of people are tend to' and 'how the building was looked alike' demonstrate inaccurate collocation and grammatical awkwardness. Spelling errors also occur, such as 'concusion' instead of conclusion. While the writer attempts less common vocabulary such as 'demolished', 'structures', and 'curiosity', the frequent inaccuracies in word choice and form restrict the lexical score. The range of vocabulary is just about adequate to communicate the central message, fulfilling the criteria for a band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but these are frequently marred by basic grammatical errors. Examples include tense and agreement issues like 'they wants to know', fragment structures starting with 'Such as,', and prepositions errors such as 'lived their houses'. Furthermore, relative clause and conditional structures show persistent inaccuracy. While simple sentences are generally understandable, complex structures are often faulty, leading to frequent errors that cause some difficulty for the reader and impede fluent reading comprehension.
