Student answer (Band 4.5)
The ratio of people is increasing in few nation who are intrested in finding the histrory about the place or a home where they live.I am going to disscuse about the reasons and way how people can research this.
First of all i am elaborate the reasons,in many countries there are very old house where people live in,these houses are their family houses people. These houses are made on very old arcitacture.people can research about the arcitacture and the antique furniture and also about the way people live in back of the time.people can also research about the old cutlury in their houses.
similary there is also vrey important point to talk about it is that many antique things have a very good value in market so that is why people research about the history of the place where they live they find the things and they sold in market to get money. And also there is a very strong reason people are intrested in histrory
because they want to know how people live in old times.in many nation people are intrested to know how old are their houses and want khow how old are their families.they people can research is that they call the inspection team of history they examine the house and tell about the history
TO conclude, both reasons and the why of finding about the history is disscused in it.But i think government should also take about it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response addresses the two parts of the prompt, discussing reasons why people research their home history and methods for doing so, but the ideas remain very limited and under-developed. For instance, the mention of antique furniture and selling items for money touches on reasons, while calling an inspection team addresses the research method, but these points are expressed superficially without adequate support or extension. Furthermore, it is important to note a critical issue regarding length: the response falls short of the mandatory minimum word count of 250 words, containing only 240 words. To achieve a higher score, the writer must fully develop each main idea with relevant explanations, specific examples, and ensure the full word count is met.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The essay displays some basic organization, but information and ideas are not arranged coherently throughout the text. While there is an introduction and a brief conclusion, the body of the essay lacks clear logical progression and proper paragraphing structure. Sentences run together with minimal cohesive devices, and transitional phrases are either absent or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on basic linkers like 'and also' and 'First of all'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of arguments. To improve, the writer needs to group related ideas into distinct, well-developed paragraphs and use a wider range of cohesive devices naturally to connect sentences and paragraphs logically.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, heavily relying on simple words and phrases to convey meaning. There are frequent spelling and word-choice errors that create noticeable strain for the reader, such as 'intrested', 'histrory', 'arcitacture', 'cutlury', and 'sold' instead of 'sell'. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items related to the topic, but inaccuracies in word form and collocation prevent precise communication. To move up to a higher band, the student needs to expand their lexical range, learn the correct spelling of key topic-related terms, and demonstrate better control over word choice and word formation in varied contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of basic sentence structures with frequent errors that often distort meaning and cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with verb forms and tenses, subject-verb agreement, missing articles, and incorrect punctuation, as seen in run-on sentences like 'these houses are their family houses people' and 'they people can research is that they call the inspection team'. Attempts at complex structures are generally faulty, leading to tangled syntax. To improve, the writer must focus on basic sentence boundaries, punctuation, ensuring correct verb tenses, and mastering fundamental grammatical patterns before attempting more complex structures.
