Student answer (Band 4.5)
In some countries more and much people are becoming more interested in finding out about the history of the houses or buildings where they live. There are many several way which helps our to find out in this our problems.
One of the most strong point which I firmly believed that if any person want know to own house histroy. So they first of all visit to library and record center from where they can get verry informations. Because from there we previous record can find out and these institude a lot of help our.And the second option NADRA office visit where also we can get informations related our house histroy. We can know that prior who are lived here and who was this kind of information which will be very heplful and useful for our.
Second point, if any person want to know that who were lived in their homes or buldings so they should contact own relitives and neighbourghood this way also very will be beneficial for us.For example, our relatives will have related this because here their forefathers had lived. So that's why I prefer that firstly we should ask their. And there are very different way which will be very helpful to find out.
But we have some issue if that person or whole family came from the other contry so anyone can find or help their because thier related no one can get a informations.
In conculsion, Libarory, relitives, offices or centers which has record for our country this is very useful way to find out related to own house or buliding history.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response addresses the prompt only partially. While it attempts to discuss both reasons for researching a building's history and how to conduct such research, the ideas remain very limited and under-developed. For instance, the writer mentions visiting a library, a record centre, or a NADRA office, but these suggestions lack clear elaboration or context. The position is not always clear throughout the essay due to underdeveloped points and repetitive reasoning. Some ideas are tangential, and the overall development is hindered by a lack of relevant, specific supporting examples. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to fully extend their ideas with well-supported arguments and clear examples explaining why people seek out historical information and how specific archival methods work in detail.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response shows some basic organisation with paragraphing, but there is no clear overall progression of ideas. While transitional markers like 'One of the most strong point' and 'Second point' are used, cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive, making the logical flow disjointed. Referencing is also problematic, as pronouns such as 'their', 'them', and 'this' often lack clear antecedents, causing confusion for the reader. The conclusion merely lists previously mentioned items rather than summarising the main points cohesively. To achieve a higher band, the writer must ensure a logical progression throughout the text, use a wider and more accurate range of cohesive devices, and maintain clear referencing between sentences and paragraphs.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and collocation throughout the text, such as writing 'histroy' instead of 'history', 'relitives' instead of 'relatives', and 'neighbourghood' instead of 'neighbourhood'. Phrases like 'strong point' and 'verry informations' demonstrate a lack of precision and control over less common lexical items. Furthermore, repetitive use of basic words restricts the range. To progress to a higher band, the writer needs to build a wider range of vocabulary, improve spelling accuracy, and demonstrate a better understanding of word combinations and academic collocations suitable for this type of task.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures, while attempts at more complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent, frequent errors in basic grammar, including subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'who were lived in their homes'), article usage, plurals (e.g., 'a informations'), and prepositions. Sentence boundaries are also compromised, with run-on constructions and fragments appearing throughout the text (e.g., 'So they first of all visit...'). These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader and sometimes obscure the intended meaning. To move up a band, the writer must demonstrate better control over basic sentence patterns, improve verb form accuracy, and reduce the frequency of structural errors.
