Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response partially addresses the prompt by attempting to discuss why people are interested in the history of their buildings and how they can research this. However, the ideas remain very limited and under-developed due to severe brevity. Furthermore, as explicitly noted in the length check, the response falls significantly short of the minimum word requirement of two hundred and fifty words, reaching only one hundred and eighty-five words. While some relevant points are raised regarding construction materials and architectural preservation, the discussion lacks the necessary depth, breadth, and fully articulated examples required to move beyond a partial response level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The text shows an attempt at paragraphing, but the overarching logical progression is weak and disjointed. Information and ideas are not arranged in a clearly coherent manner, making the progression difficult to follow at times. Cohesive devices are either missing, inadequate, or used inaccurately, leading to abrupt transitions between sentences and paragraphs. For example, sentences such as 'I state the inform that general public not have been interesting all this process' fail to link smoothly to the surrounding context, and referencing is frequently unclear, causing the reader to struggle in connecting the writer's thoughts across the text.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors that often strain the reader. The student frequently misuses word forms and collocations, such as writing 'differents countries', 'peoples are interesting', 'morden generation', and 'reasearch' instead of different, people, modern, and research. There are also inappropriate lexical choices like 'construct a emphasize' and 'surge from recent years'. Although the writer attempts some less common topic-related vocabulary such as 'construction management' and 'architecture', these attempts are marred by inaccuracies that reflect a limited and minimally adequate lexical range for this task type.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, consisting predominantly of basic sentence structures where attempts at more complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, and articles throughout the text. Examples include 'the number of peoples are interesting', 'Most of the people are had a issue', 'general public not have been interesting', and 'In some countries are not pay the attention'. These recurring errors and awkward grammatical patterns create frequent difficulty for the reader, though the core meaning can sometimes still be discerned through considerable effort.
