Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some countries has rich history in terms of wars, discoveries and political movements. Their residents are growing in numbers in terms of knowing about the history of their house or building they live in. This may help them to learn about the significance of their place which can be also be useful to market it. Mainly people rely of historians or finding of ancient civilization to know the truth about it.
There can be several reasons for knowing history of property. First, owing a peace of land which has linkage to any kind of hostorical event can be very helful to increase the amount of property. Owner can market the property by extrapolating the information. For instance, homes in the walled city of Lahore are not well structured, having narrow streets but their property value is high because of the era of Mughal Empire. This was considered the original Lahore city.
The main source to know or validate the stories related to any building can be through the literature produced by historians or discoveries of sign of existance of human life at some point in that resudence or area. Like Lahore walled city, which has 12 gates and they still exisits verify how these walled city used as a defence line for the civilians living in these gates.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify a plausible reason for researching a property’s past—its historical significance may increase its market value—and support this with the example of Lahore’s Walled City. You also mention historians, historical literature and physical evidence as research sources. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the reasons are narrow, and the research methods are not explained in enough detail. The final paragraph is unfinished, and the notes after it do not develop the answer. The required minimum length is not met, which further limits the development of your ideas. To strengthen the response, explain additional motivations, such as curiosity about previous residents or preserving a building, and describe practical research steps, such as consulting archives, land records or local authorities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, a paragraph about reasons and one about research, so the reader can identify the two main parts of the task. However, progression is weak: the introduction already mentions marketing, and the next paragraph repeats this point without clearly extending it. Linking expressions such as “First” and “For instance” help locally, but connections between ideas are often unclear, and the research paragraph shifts from sources to the Walled City’s gates without explaining how this evidence would be found. The unfinished phrase “In the conc” interrupts the structure, while the notes at the end are not integrated into the essay. Use complete paragraphs with one clear purpose and connect each example explicitly to its point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “historical event,” “property value,” “historians” and “defence line,” and the Lahore example gives the response some specificity. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or awkward choices make parts difficult to understand, such as “market the property by extrapolating the information” and “discoveries of sign of existance.” Spelling errors, including “hostorical,” “resudence” and “exisits,” are noticeable. Some phrases also do not express the intended meaning precisely, for example “owing a peace of land” where you appear to mean owning a piece of land. Build a more accurate set of collocations for research and heritage, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentence forms, including “Owner can market the property by extrapolating the information,” and use clauses to add examples. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “Some countries has” has subject–verb disagreement, while “the building they live in” is not correctly connected to the opening sentence. In “This may help them to learn about the significance of their place which can be also be useful,” the clause structure and placement of “also” are faulty. There are also problems with articles, plurals and sentence boundaries, as in “these walled city used.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled relative and subordinate clauses; proofread agreement and article use.
