Student answer (Band 5.0)
Knowing about the history of living place give people a great satisfaction. Nowadays, more and more people are became interested in it. I think the main reason behind it, individuals just want to know about how their ancestors were leading their life and also fond to know about their financial capability or collect stories only for gossiping with their relatives.
Firstly, individual curious about their living houses history just because they trying to know about their ancestors life style. That curiosity lead them to investigate their own house history, which make them satisfied as if they discover something about it. Secondly, sometimes people do it just because of gossiping. They mainly try to discover the history, as a show of about their social status that they are very special from the very beginning. Although, it is not a thing that someone uses it as their social level predictor. Furthermore , discover something about people leaving place bring self satisfaction, although it is tough to find information about it.
Relatively, these kind of activities people often do with their housing history.
Find data about something which is prehistoric very difficult to find. Although, people can find it through their neighborhood who have to be very old enough. By them people could find their house story. Moreover, if they look for a well known archaeologist from that living site it may take them to the information they are looking for. For example, historians often discover few case that was unknown and they always try to discover more in the country they are living.
By following these sources, someone may find their prehistoric information.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: you suggest that people want to learn about ancestors and social standing, and you mention asking older neighbours or consulting an archaeologist. These are relevant starting points, but the reasons are limited and not fully explained; for example, the idea of collecting stories “only for gossiping” is asserted rather than supported. The research section also needs more practical detail, such as checking property records, local archives, maps, or previous owners. Your position is broadly understandable, but the conclusion introduces “prehistoric” information, which does not accurately describe the history of most homes and makes the focus less clear. Develop each reason and method with a specific explanation or example to address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons and research, and a conclusion, so there is some organisation. However, progression within and between paragraphs is difficult to follow. The sentence “Relatively, these kind of activities people often do with their housing history” interrupts the discussion without adding a clear point, while “By following these sources” refers vaguely to the methods just mentioned. Linking words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Moreover” provide basic signposting, but some are used mechanically or do not show the relationship between ideas clearly. Group each reason and research method into a focused paragraph, remove the unrelated sentence, and use clear references and transitions so the argument develops step by step.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “ancestors,” “social status,” “archaeologist,” and “historians,” and the reader can generally identify your subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear. For instance, “financial capability” does not clearly explain what people hope to learn, and “show of about their social status” is not a natural expression. “Prehistoric” is also inaccurate for ordinary building history, while “living place” and “housing history” are repeated rather than varied. Aim for precise phrases such as “previous occupants,” “property records,” and “local archives,” and check that each word expresses the intended idea. This would make your explanations clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You try to use both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “although.” However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make the relationships between ideas hard to understand. Examples include “more and more people are became interested,” “individual curious,” and “That curiosity lead them,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “their ancestors life style” and “these kind of activities.” Some longer sentences combine clauses without clear grammatical control, particularly the sentence beginning “Although, it is not a thing…”. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, past and present forms, articles, and plural nouns; build complex sentences only when you can control their structure and punctuation.
