Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you suggest emotional attachment and a possible increase in property value as reasons, then mention the internet as a research method. The example of a famous singer’s former home helps illustrate the value point. However, the response is substantially under the required length, so the ideas remain limited and under-developed; the second question is especially incomplete because the promised official records and local people are not explained. The opening also presents a list rather than a clear, fully stated response to both questions. Develop each reason with explanation and a relevant example, and describe several practical research sources, such as land registries, archives, libraries, or long-term residents.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about reasons, and a paragraph about research. Sequencing words such as “Firstlly,” “Secondly,” and “For example” help readers follow the points. However, progression is limited because the research paragraph gives only one method, despite the introduction listing several, and the response ends without a concluding sentence. Some links are mechanical, while “On the other hand” does not clearly signal a contrast between the reasons and research methods. Use paragraphing to separate the two task questions, connect each example directly to its point, and add a brief conclusion. Clearer referencing and more developed transitions would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “emotional connection,” “history,” “property,” and “public records,” and the example about a famous singer shows an attempt to express a specific idea. However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response less clear, such as “cruious,” “emotionl,” “perosn,” and “famouse.” Some expressions are also unnatural: “find fact and figures” and “it worth grow dramatically” do not communicate the intended meaning smoothly. Build a more precise set of phrases for researching a building and describing its past, and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, use “historical records” and “the property’s value may rise.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts a few different sentence forms, including a relative clause in “the house or apartment, where they are living” and a conditional example beginning “after finding this.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. The opening sentence lacks a clear main clause after “Although,” while “emotional connection lead individual” has problems with agreement and number. The phrase “what kind of activities they do” also shifts awkwardly into a question-like structure, and “That increase the price” has an incorrect verb form. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation when editing.
