Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you suggest emotional attachment and interest in a home’s present value as reasons, then mention online searches, official records and experts as research methods. These are relevant ideas, and the examples about David’s house and Smith’s grandparents’ castle help illustrate them. However, the reasons are not equally clear or fully developed. The discussion of value focuses on the building’s materials and design but does not explain clearly why discovering its history helps establish its current worth. The research methods are listed, but meeting experts is not explained in the body. Develop each point with a clearer explanation of how and why it answers the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, one on research methods, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Furthermore,” “Firstly,” and “Secondly” help readers follow the main points. However, some connections are mechanical, and the opening ends with a sentence fragment: “While people can do research through internet, official records and meeting experts.” References also become unclear, particularly when the example shifts between “David,” “he,” and “they.” The conclusion repeats the introduction rather than drawing the ideas together. Use complete linking sentences, keep each example’s subject consistent, and make the relationship between each claim and its explanation more explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “emotional connection,” “official records,” “current value,” and “materials,” so the main ideas can generally be understood. There are also attempts at more specific description, such as “famous architect” and “high-quality wood.” However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “individulas,” “materail,” “marbals,” “worth right now,” and “exact and details.” Some wording is repeated, especially “house” and “information,” which limits range. Aim to use accurate topic-specific phrases and check spelling and word forms; for example, describe a property’s “historical significance” or “market value” rather than using vague wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex forms, including a reason clause with “because of that” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “so visiting government office…”. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms make parts difficult to read. For example, “The person want to know” needs subject–verb agreement, while “Which kind of material used to build this house” is an incomplete question structure. “Internet have” and “he want” also show agreement problems. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and finite verb, and check articles and singular/plural forms. More accurate control of these patterns would make your explanations easier to follow.
