Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: curiosity about a home’s past is given as a reason, and you suggest researching official records, online sources, maps, and local people. The points about previous owners and the building’s age are relevant, while understanding its structure and value adds another useful reason. This coverage supports a clear response to the task. However, some ideas are only briefly stated or unclear: for example, the claim that researching a home helps people have a “happy and stress free future” is not explained, and the renovation point would benefit from a specific example. Develop each reason by explaining how it motivates residents, and clarify how each research method can reveal particular information.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable opening, body discussion, and conclusion, and it moves from reasons to research methods. Connectors such as “Another important reason,” “On the other hand,” and “Finally” help signal stages in the answer. However, progression is not consistently clear: the sentence about buying a property and building a dream house appears abruptly, and “On the other hand” suggests a contrast where you are actually introducing research methods. Several ideas are crowded together, while the paragraphing does not clearly separate the reasons from the methods. Use one paragraph for reasons and another for research, and link each point with accurate, varied transitions and clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “ownership records,” “historical maps,” “local historians,” and “structural changes.” These choices show an effort to discuss the subject specifically rather than relying only on basic terms. However, spelling and word-choice problems are noticeable and sometimes make the intended meaning less clear, as in “provenvce,” “offical,” “histroical,” and “goggle research.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “fascination towards” and “google research.” Choose accurate forms such as “provenance,” “official,” and “historical,” and use natural phrases such as “search online” or “a fascination with the built environment.” Proofreading would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some attempts at more complex structures, including “They may wish to discover who previously owned their homes” and the conditional example about renovation. However, sentence control is uneven. The opening is a fragment-like construction, and “Curiosity behind to know the events happen their” lacks a clear grammatical structure. Other examples include “if there any need” and “interviewing … many provide,” where sentence patterns and verb forms are not controlled. Punctuation also needs attention, particularly the run-on transition in “dream houses Thus.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, verb forms, and punctuation when editing.
