Student answer (Band 4.5)

In several nations, a lot of individuals are becoming interested to find out about histroy of the home or building they live . In my opinion, this trend gives knowledge about their home and some those things they can share on the social media that people can aware about it.

On the one hand, the one firmly reason is people are wanted to see a big picture about our house because they curious about those things that cannot see before. For instance, many individuals are interested find out histroy about the stone, how to create these things. Second reason is that, they want to research what was built on this site before because they find out those things they can learn about it and they share with people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify two possible reasons for researching a home’s history: curiosity about how its materials were made and interest in what previously occupied the site. However, the response addresses the task only minimally. The question also asks how people can carry out this research, but no methods—such as consulting property records, archives, previous owners, or local historians—are explained. The opening mentions sharing information on social media, but this is not developed as a research method. Your ideas are relevant, yet examples and explanations remain brief, and your position is not clearly established. The response is also 122 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to develop both parts of the task. Add a clear explanation of research methods and support each reason with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph is followed by a paragraph introducing reasons, and signposts such as “On the one hand” and “Second reason” help indicate sequence. However, the overall progression is limited, and the second paragraph combines several ideas without clearly showing how they relate. For example, the discussion moves from curiosity about the house to the stone and then to what was built on the site, with little explanation linking these points. The opening also introduces social-media sharing, but this idea is not carried forward. Use separate, focused paragraphs for reasons and research methods, and connect each point with clear explanation rather than relying mainly on basic sequencing phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the general topic, with relevant terms such as “history,” “building,” “site,” and “research.” You also attempt phrases such as “a big picture,” though this is not a natural fit for the intended meaning. There are noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation problems, including “histroy,” “interested to find out,” and “people can aware about it.” These errors sometimes make the message less clear, while repeated use of “things” limits precision. Build a more accurate range around the topic—for example, “previous occupants,” “property records,” and “architectural features”—and check spelling and common word partnerships. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your ideas without repeating general words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use mostly simple sentence patterns and make some attempts to link clauses with “because” and “what,” but the range remains limited. Errors are frequent and can make parts of the response difficult to understand. For example, “they curious” is missing a verb, while “people are wanted to see” combines verb forms incorrectly. In “they want to research what was built on this site before because they find out,” the clause structure and tense do not clearly express the intended meaning. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “histroy of the home” and the missing space before the full stop in “live .” Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check verb forms, articles, and punctuation.
