Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries people change their houses according to their need and taste, also cmfort matters a lot. So they take interest in the history of that house for many reasons like the want to know the history of the house well and the house is changed within the time which parts are updated and which parts are the very old one.we can summarize the reasons as:

1- for renovations

2- for the architecture interest

3- creating a connection with the house

So may people want to know the historical background as who built it and which type of material is used and how many years more this house can lasts .Some people just want to create a connection with there house so they inquire about the different parts of the house so they have a full knowledge about their house and feel connected . Additionally when there is beed of renovation they have to observe and check every part of house keenly so the parts that needs renovation should' t be missed. Sometimes people just want to observe the effect of time on the building of house that how the fall and rise of time has changed the house. Many example are happened to be seen in our society in which people run a research on history of houses.

Now if we talk about how they can search about their house so the very most important is to find the very old neighbors so they may have information about House.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify several relevant reasons for researching a home’s history, including renovation, architectural interest, and developing a personal connection. These points show an understanding of the first question, but they are mostly listed or repeated rather than explained with specific examples. The second question is only minimally addressed: you suggest asking long-term neighbours, but do not develop this method or mention other useful sources, such as property records, archives, previous owners, or local historical societies. The response therefore covers the task only partially, and the reader is left without a clear, developed account of how research can be carried out. Explain each reason briefly and give practical research methods with examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the response introduces reasons, lists three of them, and then shifts to research methods with “Now if we talk about how they can search.” This gives the reader a basic sense of the two task questions. However, the overall progression is not clear because the numbered list is not developed as separate points, and several ideas run together in a long paragraph. Linking phrases such as “So,” “Additionally,” and “Sometimes” are used, but connections between claims are sometimes unclear or repetitive. The final section is especially brief and does not build on the earlier discussion. Use distinct paragraphs for reasons and research methods, and organise each around a clear main idea followed by explanation or an example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “renovations,” “architecture,” “historical background,” and “material,” so the reader can generally understand the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the fall and rise of time” is not a natural way to describe the effects of ageing, and “run a research” is not idiomatic. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “cmfort,” “beed,” and “there” where “their” is intended. Build a more precise set of phrases for buildings and research, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “when there is beed of renovation they have to observe and check every part.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms can make the meaning harder to follow. In “how many years more this house can lasts,” the verb form is incorrect, while “which parts are updated” does not fit smoothly into the surrounding sentence. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, with several ideas joined into long sentences. Aim for shorter, complete sentences first, then add accurate clauses using “because,” “when,” or “so that.” Proofread for subject–verb agreement and sentence endings.
