Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You attempt to address both questions, and the examples of Golconda and the Golden Temple show an effort to make the discussion concrete. However, the reasons are not clearly explained: the opening body paragraph focuses on teenagers’ interest in historic buildings, while the next mentions popularity and tourism without showing why residents want to investigate their own homes. The research methods are especially limited; saying that an archaeology department and research teams use “some tools” does not explain what an individual can do. The Golden Temple example concerns a famous religious site rather than researching the history of one’s home, so its relevance is unclear. Develop distinct reasons and practical methods, such as checking property records, archives, old maps, or interviewing previous residents.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the intended structure visible. However, the progression between ideas is difficult to follow. “On the other hand” suggests a contrast, but the paragraph continues with another reason, and “In Addition” introduces research without a clear connection to the preceding point. The examples also shift from private homes to Golconda and the Golden Temple, weakening the line of discussion. Some references, such as “This points” and “This temple,” do not clearly connect to a specific claim. Organise the essay around the two task questions, with one paragraph for reasons and another for practical research methods, and use linking phrases only when their relationship is accurate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “historical building,” “tourism,” “research teams,” and “collateral damage,” which gives the response a basic range relevant to the subject. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and several combinations make the intended meaning hard to understand: “keen interested,” “raise the popularity in public views,” and “will attractions to the visitors.” There are also word-form and spelling problems, including “archeology,” “enchances,” and “build with gold.” Aim for more precise phrases and check collocations and word forms. For example, describe why residents investigate a property as “preserving heritage” or “understanding its architectural history,” and name specific sources such as “property records” and “local archives.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to use both simple and longer sentence forms, including the example beginning “For example” and the sentence about companies caring for the temple. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “majority of the teenagers are now shows,” “This kind of construction are,” and “This temple will plays,” where subject–verb agreement and verb forms are faulty. Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “provide an relevant example” and “the reason for this research is to bring the value and truths.” Punctuation and spacing around sentence boundaries are inconsistent. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking agreement, articles, and verb forms in each sentence.
