Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you suggest that curiosity about the past and a wish to gain knowledge motivate people, and you mention books and online searches as research methods. However, the reasons are only partly explained. The claim that people want to be “judicious” and “dignified in society” is unclear and not convincingly linked to researching their own home. The research section also remains general: it does not explain how someone could find records specific to a building, such as local archives, property documents, previous owners, or interviews with neighbours. The examples about historians and browsers do not fully support the task. Develop each relevant point with a clear explanation and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons and research methods, and a conclusion. This makes the main stages of the answer easy to identify. You also use linking expressions such as “As a result,” “For example,” and “On the other hand.” However, some connections are mechanical or do not express the relationship accurately: “On the other hand” introduces research methods rather than a contrasting view, and “As a result” is repeated without always showing a clear consequence. References such as “this kind of platforms” and “it” are not always clear. Use transitions that match the logic and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt a range of topic-related and less common vocabulary, including “historical,” “evidence,” “research,” “digital platforms,” and “collecting data.” This shows an effort to express ideas beyond very basic language. However, frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices make parts of the response difficult to understand, for example “fasinated,” “evulotion,” “aquare,” and “litarate.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “interested about past,” “renowed scientist,” and “another world.” These issues limit the clarity and control of your vocabulary. Focus first on accurate spelling and natural collocations, and choose words that express the intended idea precisely rather than using ambitious terms whose meaning is uncertain.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including clauses introduced by “so that” and “as well as.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to follow. For example, “they wanted to learn about past how evulotion happend” has an unclear clause structure, while “This books provides” has a subject–verb agreement error. Verb forms and sentence construction are also problematic in “it going to be effortless” and “it is not only give them.” Articles, plurals, and punctuation are inconsistently controlled. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea, then add subordinate clauses only when you can maintain correct word order and verb forms.
