Student answer (Band 5.5)
In some parts of the world individuals are showing their interests in knowing the previous history of the homes they are living in.
I think the major cause of this structural changes to buildings that have been made due to advancement in technology. As the technology improves there are new practices in the field of construction and design of houses and buildings. People can acquire knowldge about how their homes used to look alike by usind data from maps available online and offline at lands record authority.
Another reason due to which people have shown interest in the history of their houses is due to revival in cultural practices. In the recent century many people have forgotten their cultural norms, traditions and symbols due to rapid industrialization which produced large number of identical raw materials to be used globally. Globalization removed some cultures in developing societies recently but now the new generation is very fond of reviving their ancestors heritage so they are too much keen to know how their homes used to look alike and what facilities and deign they possessed.
Same is the case in my country, after independence religious extremisits demolished the most of old homes ine different parts of countries because they were owned by persons of different religions although they were representing centuries old local architect and design. But today Governments are making too much effort to rebuilding them according to their original designs so that the young generations could get more knowldge about the past they are searching for.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by proposing technological change and cultural revival as reasons, and you include a relevant example from your country. However, the research part is only briefly covered: you mention online and offline maps and land-record authorities, but do not explain other practical methods or how these sources could be used. The reasons are also not always clearly connected to people’s interest in researching their own homes. The discussion of demolished historic houses shifts towards government rebuilding efforts, rather than showing how individuals can investigate a building’s past. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and example, and give a fuller, direct answer to how people can research the history.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable paragraph structure: it introduces the topic, gives two reasons, and then adds a country-specific example. Linking phrases such as “Another reason” and “Same is the case in my country” help signal the sequence. However, the progression is not fully clear because the first paragraph combines technological changes with a brief research method, while the final paragraph moves from historical destruction to government restoration without clearly linking this to the question of individual research. Some connections are also awkward or repetitive, particularly the repeated idea of how homes “used to look alike.” Organise the response around the two task questions and use clearer links to show how each example supports its point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “structural changes,” “construction and design,” “cultural norms,” “globalization,” and “local architecture.” These choices show an attempt to discuss history and buildings beyond basic vocabulary. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “showing their interests in knowing,” “revival in cultural practices,” and “too much keen.” Spelling errors, including “knowldge,” “usind,” “deign,” and “extremisits,” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim for more natural phrases such as “interest in discovering,” “a revival of cultural traditions,” and “keen to learn,” and proofread carefully for spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including the conditional clause “As the technology improves…” and the longer sentence beginning “In the recent century…”. This shows some range, but control is uneven. For example, “I think the major cause of this structural changes” lacks a complete grammatical link and has a number-agreement problem, while “Another reason due to which people have shown interest… is due to…” is awkwardly constructed. The final sentence also contains several errors in articles and sentence structure, making the relationship between rebuilding and young people’s knowledge difficult to follow. Use shorter, more controlled sentences where needed, and check agreement, articles, and clause construction when combining ideas.
