Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that residents want a stronger connection with their homes and may hope to discover hidden valuables, then mention owners, government housing departments, city records and older residents as sources. These points are relevant, but the reasons are limited and not fully explained. For example, the idea that people research a home to “increase interest” in it is unclear, and the claim about finding wealth is presented as a general reason without explaining how likely or important this is. The research methods are listed rather than developed with practical detail. To strengthen the response, explain why historical knowledge matters—for example, family heritage or preserving a building—and show how a specific archive or local authority could help.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, a paragraph on reasons and a paragraph on research methods. Sequencing words such as “First and foremost,” “Secondly” and “Thirdly” help signal the order of points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and the linking can feel mechanical. The sentence about developing a connection with places “which give them opportunity to live these places” does not clearly connect the reason to its explanation. The final paragraph also ends abruptly after mentioning senior citizens, without explaining how they could provide information or offering a concluding summary. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and finish with a brief conclusion that brings the two parts together.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “history,” “ancient,” “government department of housing” and “senior citizen,” so the reader can generally identify the subject. However, the range is limited and several choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “increase interest in those places,” “get know” and “find the history” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also spelling errors, including “countires,” “Therfore,” “throughly” and “millionare.” Build a more precise set of expressions for historical research, such as “trace a property’s past,” “consult local archives” and “previous occupants,” and check spelling during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “For instance.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to understand. For example, “The number of people rising who are interested” is not a complete, well-formed opening sentence, while “many people try get know who are live” has problems with verb forms and sentence structure. Agreement and articles are also inconsistent, as in “senior citizen are” and “the history of the places.” Review complete sentence formation, infinitive patterns such as “try to find out,” and subject–verb agreement. Shorter, carefully checked sentences would improve accuracy before you attempt more complex structures.
