Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: curiosity about how older homes were built is given as a reason, and AI, books, and asking people with relevant knowledge are offered as research methods. However, the response only partially develops the task. The reasons are narrow, and the point about people involved in historical fields is not clearly explained as a reason for wider public interest. The example of European houses is also vague and does not show how this interest arises. Your conclusion shifts to general advice about pursuing goals and careers rather than summarising the reasons and research methods. Develop a few relevant explanations with specific examples, and keep the conclusion focused on the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: an introduction is followed by two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “For example” and “In addition” signal relationships between ideas. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear. The first body paragraph mixes research methods with reasons for interest, while the second repeats the methods and does not clearly separate its main point. Connectors such as “In one Band” and “In other band” are unclear, and repeated “as a result” does not always show a logical consequence. The final paragraph introduces an unrelated idea. Give each paragraph one clear purpose, order ideas logically, and use linking phrases that accurately express the relationship between them.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “curiosity,” “historical buildings,” “artificial intelligence,” and “civil engineering.” These choices show an effort to discuss the subject beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and many word choices, collocations, and spellings are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “standing of the new technology,” “previous mental generation,” and “talking people's interest”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also repeated forms such as “houses” and “history.” Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check common collocations and spelling. For instance, describe people as “interested in” a topic and say that a method is “available and easy to use.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “For example” and one using “in addition,” but control is weak and errors occur frequently. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “research play” and “people today researching”; articles and plurals are also problematic in “the houses and building” and “every one living in house.” Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, making the relationships between clauses hard to follow. The conclusion also contains incomplete or malformed constructions. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using because, when, and which. Check agreement, articles, sentence boundaries, and punctuation during revision.
