Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many parts of the world, most of th individuals are becoming interested in way out about the history of the residence and building where they live in. I belive that it is a good step to find out the history about houses and buildings. people can research with the help of their parents, also they can help through social media.
There are multiple reasons associated with the topic. Firstly, certain individuals are living old houses and buildings. This is because thay want to find out the history about the houses, especially most of the youngster want to know about history. Take an example of online poll conducted by University of California, which revealed that around 90% of the people believe that they should know about the own houses and buildings, how they looked like in the past. Hence, it would be the main reason to find out about the history.
Secondly, in the internet, there are amount of data, they can easily research on the basis of old data. Another option they can ask their parents, when they were young how the houses was constructed at that time. For instance, In India, there are hundred of old buildings are attracting many visitors in every year. Thus, it is also beneficial for local economy.
To sum up, although there are several reasons, but I believe that individuals shoud know about the history their own houses and building, how they were living in the past. Furthermore, people can collect data with the help of their ancectors and through the internet.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest reasons for interest in a building’s past and mention researching online or asking parents. Your view that learning about a home’s history is worthwhile is also present. However, the reasons are not clearly explained: the claim that people are interested because they live in old buildings is repeated rather than developed, and the poll example does not explain why this interest has grown. The research methods are also only briefly covered; explain how online records, local archives, property documents, or interviews could help. The reference to visitors and the local economy is not clearly connected to researching one’s own home. More relevant explanation and specific support would make the response address the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the answer. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear because ideas are placed beside one another without showing their relationship. For example, the discussion moves from online data to asking parents and then to visitors and the local economy, which shifts away from the research methods. Some linking is mechanical, and “although there are several reasons, but” uses competing connectors. Organise each body paragraph around one clear point, then explain and illustrate it, using references such as “these records” or “this interest” clearly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “history,” “residence,” “constructed,” and “local economy,” and the main meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “find out in way out,” “living old houses,” and “amount of data.” Spelling errors, including “belive,” “thay,” and “ancectors,” also reduce accuracy. Repetition of “history,” “houses,” and “buildings” makes the expression less flexible. Build a set of precise topic phrases—such as “trace a property’s history,” “historical records,” and “previous owners”—and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a relative clause in “buildings where they live” and a conditional-style question about how houses looked in the past. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “most of th individuals are becoming interested in way out,” “how the houses was constructed,” and “how they were living in the past”; these show problems with articles, verb agreement, and sentence construction. There are also errors in plural and possessive forms, as in “their own houses and building.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, and singular/plural forms.
