Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people in some countries are very curious to know the history of the residence or apartment they live. I strongly believe the they are interested in knowing that the place is related to any kind heritage and the place is related to horrifying past event. I thought they will ask to people who are living their from long time and mostly elder people who knows that place from very long time. This essay will discuss in details in following paragraphs.
One of the main reason people are curious about place they living, because the residence or apartment may be witnessed the historical events. People who have interest in archeology are more curious about such thing they always want to know about things that is related to that place in any historic event. For instance, if that place is have some history related to old kingdom their will be a chances of finding some treasure. As a result, the house or apartment may get some peoples recongnisation and they get famous.
On other side people who are interested in past event of the house they live is may be faced any kind of paranormal activity in that place. Many people believe that if the place was witnessed by kind of horrifying incident in future that place may feel some paranormal activities. For example, old hospital building is converted in apartment to live, in that case people who live their may face the those activities such as human screaming and baby crying due to some death happen in that place. As a result, many people live that place and move to another house or apartment.
In conclusion, I believe that people who have interested in archeology are curious about the place they live and on other side people who faced some paranormal activites in that place are interested in knowing that place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify two possible reasons for researching a home’s past: historical or archaeological interest, and concern about frightening events or paranormal activity. The examples of an old kingdom and a former hospital help illustrate these ideas. However, the task asks both why people are interested and how they can research a building. Your response does not explain research methods, such as consulting local archives, land records, previous owners, or residents. The conclusion repeats the reasons rather than completing the answer to both questions, and some claims—such as finding treasure—are not sufficiently explained. To strengthen the response, address each question directly and develop relevant examples that show how people might investigate a property.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Each body paragraph focuses on a different reason, and signposts such as “For instance” and “As a result” help show examples and outcomes. However, the overall progression is limited because the essay never moves on to the second part of the task: methods of research. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkward, including “On other side” and repeated uses of “As a result.” References such as “that place” and “those activities” are also not always precise. A clearer plan—one section for reasons and another for research methods—would create stronger progression and make the relationships between ideas easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “historical events,” “archaeology,” “paranormal activities,” and “horrifying incident,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts to vary wording with “residence” and “apartment.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, sometimes making meaning less clear. For example, “witnessed the historical events” and “get some peoples recongnisation” do not express the intended ideas naturally; spelling errors such as “recongnisation” and “activites” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use precise phrases for both the reasons and the research process, such as “historical significance,” “property records,” and “local archives,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if that place was…” and clauses introduced by “because.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms can make the reader work to understand the point. Examples include “the place is related to any kind heritage,” “the residence or apartment may be witnessed,” and “people who have interested.” There are also problems with plural and verb agreement in “elder people who knows.” Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. For example, write “The building may have witnessed historical events” and “People who are interested in archaeology may want to investigate its past.”
