Student answer (Band 5.5)
Globally, there is a growing interest among individuals to study the history of their residential areas. Because they want to know the exact owner of that place and keep themself away from fraud. Furthermore, they want to confirm either the place is in a graveyard or not. They often confirm that place from a senior citizens or from a government sector.
More citizens are intresting in the history of home place because they want to confirm the previous owner. The history is very important, because if the individuals do not know the previous owner, the fraud could be takes place. For instance, new customer buy a home from an owner and the same owner sell that home to another customer too. Then both will take themselves under fraud and financial loss could be takes place. Moreover, some citizens do not want a home in ancient grave because some stories tell about the body will wakeup and try to harm you. For example, in our village the elders were tell the story about our home land and include the point of graveyard that our home was made in ancient era graveyard and fighters of ancient era were buried their, from that point on one like that place and were sold to someone in small amount.
People often confirm the history of the home from elderly where they live or from a government because both have some data related to that place. Old citizens have knowledge of more places and keep aware themselves from all the resident history. Move farward, the government also have data in documents form, where the people can get knowledge from that data easily.
In conclusion, across the globe the citizens are eager to get some knowledge from there hometown from which they confirm the property is secured or not or either the place is in safe zone or not. The people often approach to government and elderly age people to know the history of their hometown and residential area.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that people investigate ownership and possible burial-ground history, and you identify older residents and government records as sources. The examples, especially the story about land in your village, make the response relevant. However, the reasons are not always clearly explained or convincingly framed; the claim that people fear bodies will wake up is presented as a story rather than a broadly explained motivation. The research methods also need more detail: explain what records people might consult, such as property deeds, archives, or local planning documents, and how these help establish a building’s past. A clearer, more consistently developed explanation of each part would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs on reasons and research methods, and a conclusion. This helps readers identify the two main parts of the task. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and ideas are repeated: the conclusion restates that people approach government officials and elderly residents without adding a final insight. Linking phrases such as “Furthermore” and “For instance” are used, but some connections are awkward or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. For example, the shift from ownership fraud to graveyard fears could be signposted more clearly. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “previous owner,” “financial loss,” “government,” and “graveyard,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “study the history of their residential areas,” “confirm the previous owner,” and “keep aware themselves.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “intresting,” “farward,” and “themself” also reduce control. Aim to use more precise expressions for property research and ownership, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general words such as “place” and “data” with specific terms would make the discussion clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences with reasons and examples, but the range of structures is limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement occur in phrases such as “the fraud could be takes place,” “the elders were tell,” and “the government also have data.” Sentence boundaries and clause construction also need attention: “Because they want to know…” is a fragment, while “confirm either the place is in a graveyard or not” does not form a correct indirect question. These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Practise building accurate sentences with “because,” “if,” and “whether,” and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms in each clause.
